A qualitative research approach was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 25 key informants, including managers, supervisors, and experienced security personnel, selected using purposive sampling. A semi-structured interview guide was used, and the data were analyzed using content analysis. The findings reveal that security management demonstrates structured practices in planning and operations; however, variations remain in monitoring and evaluation processes. This indicates that security management practices are still primarily operational rather than fully system-based. Organizational capability is found to be stronger in human resources and work processes, while limitations persist in technology and organizational image. Furthermore, security management plays a significant role in facilitating organizational capability development through mechanisms such as training, supervision, and performance evaluation. These mechanisms support continuous learning and process improvement within the organization. The study highlights that security management functions as a process-based mechanism that enhances organizational adaptability and credibility, contributing to sustainable development in service-oriented businesses.
Boonruen Thongthip Copyright (c) 2026 Journal of Innovative Business Management Research https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2026-08-26 2026-08-26 3 2 1 16 Safety Management and Tourism Development in the Andaman Coastal Areas of Thailand https://so07.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JIBMR/article/view/11056
The study titled Safety Management and Tourism Development in the Andaman Coastal Areas of Thailand aimed to: 1) examine the conditions and patterns of tourism safety management, 2) analyze the factors influencing the effectiveness of safety management, and 3) propose suitable and sustainable guidelines for the development of tourism safety management. The system operates on both a website and a LINE Chatbot, allowing customers to book appointments, check their queue status, and receive queue notifications 24 hours a day without time limitations. Additionally, it can efficiently respond to basic customer inquiries in place of staff. The system quality was evaluated in two phases: expert evaluation by five specialists, and usability testing with 30 real users comprising 20 nail salon customers, 5 salon owners, and 5 nail technicians. For development, the website was built using JavaScript, with Django Framework for backend development and React for frontend development. The LINE Chatbot was integrated through the LINE Messaging API to support automated user interactions. The MySQL database was used to systematically and securely store customer and booking information. The results of the system development demonstrated that the queue booking system via both the website and LINE Chatbot improved queue management efficiency, reduced duplicate bookings, and helped save the salon’s time and resources. The evaluation results of the website’s performance indicated that the overall quality of the nail salon queue booking system was rated at the highest level, with an average score of 4.67 and a standard deviation of 0.21. Considering each aspect, the system’s functionality was evaluated to be at a high-quality level. The results of the system efficiency evaluation by users also revealed that the system’s overall quality was at the high level, with a mean score of 4.09 and a standard deviation of 0.80. This indicates that the nail salon queue reservation system was highly effective in supporting and enhancing customer relationship planning.
Paweena Thothatsa Phuthaneth Sukseela Taksin Yodkeeree Supawadee Phoppimai Sirilak Borirug Copyright (c) 2026 Journal of Innovative Business Management Research https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2026-08-26 2026-08-26 3 2 84 110 From Shelf to Plate: Consumer Purchasing Behavior of Canned Fish in an Urban Area https://so07.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JIBMR/article/view/10253
Canned fish is a widely traded product within the food supply chain. However, intense market competition has compelled producers to develop effective marketing strategies to gain competitive advantages and sustain long-term business performance. This research aimed to: 1) examine the demographic and socio-economic characteristics, and purchasing behaviors of canned fish consumers; 2) investigate consumers’ perceptions of the marketing mix of canned fish; and 3) examine the association between demographic and socio-economic factors and consumers’ expenditure on canned fish purchases. Data were collected using structured questionnaires from 400 canned fish consumers in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, selected through quota sampling. Descriptive statistics and chi-square tests were employed for data analysis. The results revealed that more than half of the consumers were male, with an average age of 30.55 years, and spent no more than 100 baht per purchase on canned fish. Most consumers purchased canned fish from local grocery stores. Consumers rated all elements of the marketing mix—product, price, place, and promotion—as highly important. Among these factors, standard certification was the only aspect evaluated at the highest level of importance. In addition, statistically significant relationships were found between marital status, gender, age, and personal income and consumers’ expenditures on canned fish. Based on these findings, it is recommended that canned fish entrepreneurs place greater emphasis on obtaining and effectively communicating product standard certifications in order to enhance consumer confidence in product safety and quality.
Palakorn Satsue Nurfirda Puteh Wathanyu Saelao Purawich Phitthayaphinant Copyright (c) 2026 Journal of Innovative Business Management Research https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2026-08-26 2026-08-26 3 2 111 144 The study of return and risk of Gold mutual fund across Thailand’s economic cycles. https://so07.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JIBMR/article/view/11468
Although gold mutual funds have been extensively studied as hedging assets, little empirical evidence exists regarding their risk-adjusted performance across Thailand's business cycles. This study examines the risk and return of 15 gold mutual funds that invest in physical gold bullion through master funds with a non-dividend policy and full foreign exchange risk hedging. The analysis utilizes 185 monthly observations of secondary data from January 2010 to June 2025. The economic phases were classified using the Bry and Boschan methodology, identifying periods of economic contraction and expansion based on the turning points of the Coincident Economic Indicator (CEI). Fund performance was evaluated using four risk-adjusted measures—Sharpe Ratio, Treynor Ratio, Jensen's Alpha, and Appraisal Ratio—and statistical differences between the phases were tested using Welch's t-test.

The findings reveal that during economic contractions, gold mutual funds achieved a higher trimmed mean return than the overall market. However, the risk-adjusted performance measures, namely the Sharpe Ratio, Jensen's Alpha, and Appraisal Ratio, were lower during economic contractions compared to expansionary periods, while the Treynor Ratio indicated that the fund returns moved inversely to the overall market. Furthermore, the Welch's t-test results demonstrated no statistically significant difference in the risk-adjusted returns of gold mutual funds between periods of economic contraction and expansion. Ultimately, this study provides vital evidence for strategic asset allocation under different economic regimes.
Tussanee Chanchaichuchit Copyright (c) 2026 Journal of Innovative Business Management Research https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2026-08-26 2026-08-26 3 2 145 164
