Quantitative research was done with data collected by online questionnaire. 415 samples people were consumers and users of POS systems. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics for mean, percentage, and standard deviation as well as inferential statistics. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was performed and multiple regression analysis (MRA) done. Results were that factors affecting selection of a POS system for the restaurant business, included service process, quality and reliability, product, pricing, and data comparability. Predictability of choice of POS system purchase was statistically significant, potentially accounting for a variance of 20.8% (R2adj = 0.208).
