บทความวิชาการเรื่อง ความท้าทายและโอกาสของธุรกิจการบินในประเทศไทยสู่ชีวิตวิถีใหม่หลังการระบาดของโรคโควิด-19 มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอให้เห็นถึงสิ่งที่ธุรกิจการบินในประเทศไทยต้องดำเนินการปฏิบัติในปัจจุบัน รวมถึงสิ่งที่จะเกิดขึ้นกับธุรกิจการบินในอนาคตความท้าทาย และโอกาสของธุรกิจการบินในประเทศไทยภายหลังวิกฤตการระบาดของโรคโควิด-19 โดยทำการศึกษาและวิเคราะห์เพิ่มเติมจากงานสัมมนาอุตสาหกรรมการบินของไทยประจำปีพ.ศ. 2564 ภายใต้หัวข้อ “ทะยานสู่การบินบริบทใหม่ (Thai Aviation Industry Conference 2021 : Flying to the new era of Thai aviation)” จัดโดย สำนักงานการบินพลเรือนแห่งประเทศไทย โดยจากการวิเคราะห์ พบเรื่องที่น่าสนใจที่จะเกิดขึ้นกับธุรกิจการบิน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นด้าน การรักษาความปลอดภัย ประสิทธิภาพในการจัดการโรคระบาด ความสามารถยืดหยุ่น ประสบการณ์ที่เป็นที่พึงพอใจของผู้โดยสาร และประสิทธิภาพของระบบการจัดการการบิน
บทความนี้จึงเป็นการนำเสนอถึงการศึกษาถึงความท้าทายและโอกาสธุรกิจการบินในประเทศไทยสู่วิถีใหม่ เพื่อให้ธุรกิจการบินได้เตรียมการ และวางแผน ที่จะรับมือต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่สำคัญที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคต นอกจากโควิด-19 แล้ว ยังมีสิ่งที่สำคัญในธุรกิจการบินต้องมีการเตรียมพร้อมในด้านต่างๆ ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบต่อธุรกิจการบินทั้งทางตรงและทางอ้อม
