Abstract

The research aimed to study 1) the internal educational quality assurance process of the faculty of nursing, private university, 2) the best practices for implementing the internal educational quality assurance of the faculty of nursing, private university, and 3) to advise the development guidelines of the internal educational quality assurance system for the faculty of nursing. private university. This study was qualitative research. The research target group was the interviewees who were the administrators and teachers from the faculty of nursing, private university. They gave important information from the interview and group conversation. There were 6 persons who were responsible for the internal educational quality assurance of the faculty of nursing. The instruments used for this study were content analysis, in-depth interview form, and group discussion. The statistics used were frequency and percentage.


          The results of research were found that:  1) The internal educational quality assurance process of the faculty of nursing, private university applied the principle of PDCA in their implementation. There were 6 components and 13 indicators named as follow; component 1 standardization with 5 criteria for bachelor's degree and 10 criteria for master's degree, component 2 graduates with 2 indicators, component 3 students with 3 indicators, component 4 teachers with 3 Indicators, component 5 curriculum, teaching and learning, and assessment with 4 indicators and component 6 Learning supportive resources with 1indicator, and 2) The best practices for implementing the educational quality assurance consisted of leadership and executive vision, strategics planning, focusing on students, personnel involvement and decentralizing of liability margins, knowledge management (KM), applying the quality management system, and providing useful information data for educational quality development, and                      3) Development guidelines of the internal educational quality assurance system for the faculty of nursing, private university consist of 3.1) creating leadership and vision for executives and personnel, 3.2) promoting strategics planning for performance knowledge, 3.3) focusing on students’ competency to obtain professional license and work for society, 3.4) emphasizing on personnel potential, creating participation engagement and empowering responsibility, 3.5) focusing on knowledge management (KM), experience exchanging among personnel, 3.6) implementing the quality management process that is flexible to resolve the conflicts, and 3.7) providing useful information data for educational quality development and creating the knowledge exchanging networks for increasing operational performance of personnel which will support the educational quality assurance development of  the faculty of nursing, private University.
