Abstract
The research aimed to investigate the current status as well as the desired status of teachers’ participation in the academic affairs administration in their school, andpropose guidelines for the enhancement of teachers’ participation. To compare the level of teacher participation in academic administration. Classified by educational level and working experience. The population used in this study were teachers of 14 schools in the Surat Thani 1 campus under the Office of Secondary Education Service Area 11 in the academic year of 2020, total 1,057 people. Secondary School District 11,285 people. The data analysis was conducted by using descriptive statistics; percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Modified Priority Needs Index (PNIModified) as well as content analysis. The results revealed the current status of teachers’ participation in the academic affairs administration in terms of curriculum development and the desired status of teachers’ participation in education supervision, especially in instruction supervision planning, were at highlevel. The research foundthetop three needsassessmentfor their participation which includingtheresearch for educational development, educational measurement and evaluation, and development of learning resources, materials, and innovation as well as educational technology.
