Abstract
The objectives of this study were : 1) to investigate the use of good governance principles in school management, and 2) to compare opinions on the use of good governance principles in school management based on the backgrounds of position and school size. A sample used in this study was a total of 242 administrators and teachers in schools under the primary schools in Kanchanadit District under the Surat Thani Primary Education service area office 1 the size of sample was determined using Krejcie and Morgan’s table and the sample was selected by stratified random sampling. The instrument used was a 5-rating scale questionnaire whose discrimination power values were between 0.43 and 0.97 and entire reliability value was 0.98. Statistics used to analyze data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test of independent samples and F-test. In case a difference between the means was found, a pairwise comparison by Scheffe’s method would be conducted. The findings of study were as follows: 1) Information on the status of the respondents, most of the respondents had a bachelor's degree. accounted for 63.40% 2) The overall participation of teachers in academic administration in the United Campus, Surat Thani 1 under the Office of Secondary Education Service Area 11, Surat Thani was at a high level in all 6 aspects, were found at high level in ranking order from higher to lower means for the first 3 places, namely principles of transparency, morality and accountability; 2) administrators and teachers in schools. The top three are transparency principles. Moral and Responsibility 3) Compare the opinions of government teachers on the use of good governance in the administration of primary schools in Kanchanadit District. under the Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, classified by age, educational level and working experience Administrators and teachers There were no significant differences in opinions on the implementation of good governance in schools as a whole and in individual areas.
