Fear of Crime in University

Abstract
The purpose of this research were to (1) study fear of crime among students and (2) examine factors affecting fear of crime among students. The samples were 381 undergraduate students. The researcher employed questionnaire as a research tool. Descriptive statistics and stepwise multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the collected data. The findings indicated that criminal victimization experience had a negative influence on the fear of crime. The study also found that media influence had a positive effect on the fear of crime. However, perception of others' victimization, household and environment efficiency had no influence on the fear of crime of undergraduate students.
