JCAS Publication Ethics

      JCAS adheres to the following of ethical practices as requirements by COPE, to meet the international and national standard of publication.

For Editor

  • The editor must keep the paper submitted to JCAS remains highly confidential in every process.   
  • The editor must make the decision on paper submitted to JCAS are not published elsewhere and based on the aims and scope of the Journal.
  • The editor must maintain the journals’ quality and standards.
  • The editor must not encourage the author(s) who submitted to JCAS to cite papers of editor for the sake of increasing impact factors.
  • The editor must conduct the review process without bias in races, nationalities, ethnicities, religions, languages, citizenships, and political ideology.
  • The editor must conduct the peer-review process in a timely manner to ensure that the publication will not be delay.

For Reviewer

  • The reviewer must maintain timely feedback on the paper to editor.
  • The reviewer must review the paper without bias toward author(s).
  • The reviewer must have no conflicts of interests with the Journal, Editor, and author(s).
  • The reviewer must inform the Editor when found any suspected misconduct related to paper, such as plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data fabrication.
  • The reviewer must maintain the review process in highly confidential, and must not use the unpublished information from the paper for personal purpose.

For Author(s)

  • The author(s) must ensure the paper submitted to JCAS is original work, and not published elsewhere before submitted.
  • The author(s) must ensure the paper submitted to JCAS does not contain citation manipulation, plagiarism, or data fabrication.
  • The author(s) must declare the IRB when the research related to humans or animals test, if request by the editor or reviewer.
  • The author(s) must declare funding agency for research, and all relevant competing interest in conducting research.
  • The author(s) have responsibility to inform the editor when find the error or mistake in their paper.
