การวิจัยมีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาอัตลักษณ์ ภูมิปัญญาและวัฒนธรรมข้าวชุมชนในจังหวัดลำปาง 2) เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการผลิตวัฒนธรรมข้าวของชุมชนลุ่มน้ำจาง 3) เพื่อส่งเสริมอัตลักษณ์ ภูมิปัญญาและวัฒนธรรมข้าวชุมชนลุ่มน้ำจาง อำเภอแม่ทะ จังหวัดลำปาง เครื่องมือวิจัย ได้แก่ การศึกษาเอกสาร การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก 30 รูป/คน การสนทานากลุ่มย่อย 30 คน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงเนื้อหาและพรรณนา
ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1. อัตลักษณ์ ภูมิปัญญา และวัฒนธรรมข้าวมี 6 มิติ ได้แก่ 1) มิติทางพระพุทธศาสนา: ข้าวสำคัญในพิธีกรรมทางศาสนา 2) มิติทางครอบครัว: ครอบครัวปลูกฝังความกตัญญูในเรื่องข้าว 3) มิติทางความเชื่อและพิธีกรรม: ข้าวเกี่ยวข้องกับความเชื่อและการขอพรจากสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ 4) มิติทางชุมชน: วัฒนธรรมข้าวเป็นรากฐานของสังคมเกษตรกรรม 5) มิติทางประเพณีและวัฒนธรรม: ข้าวสำคัญในประเพณีท้องถิ่น 6) มิติทางธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม: การทำนาอินทรีย์เป็นการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม
- กระบวนการผลิตข้าวในชุมชนมีอยู่ 6 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ การเตรียมเมล็ดพันธุ์ การเตรียมพื้นที่และบำรุงดิน การปรับพื้นที่เพาะปลูก การเพาะต้นกล้าข้าว การดำนาและดูแลต้นข้าว และการเก็บเกี่ยวพร้อมทำบุญข้าว
- การส่งเสริมวัฒนธรรมข้าวอินทรีย์วิถีพุทธมีอยู่ 5 แนวทาง คือ 1) อนุรักษ์วัฒนธรรมข้าวดั้งเดิม 2) ส่งเสริมพิธีกรรมทางศาสนาเกี่ยวกับข้าว 3) เสริมสร้างพลังชุมชน 4) สร้างคุณค่าข้าวผ่านพิธีกรรมทางพุทธศาสนา 5) ผลักดันนโยบายเกษตรอินทรีย์ที่ยั่งยืน
การส่งเสริมอัตลักษณ์ ภูมิปัญญา และวัฒนธรรมข้าวช่วยปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมการทำนา โดยเชื่อมโยงความเชื่อ พิธีกรรม และประเพณีท้องถิ่น ซึ่งช่วยลดค่าใช้จ่าย สร้างความสมดุลระหว่างมนุษย์และธรรมชาติ ส่งเสริมสุขภาพ เศรษฐกิจ สังคม และสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างยั่งยืน
