This research investigates the complex issue of bullying victimization in modern society through a Buddhist perspective focusing on three objectives: 1) to investigate the problematic situations and impacts of bullying victimization in modern society; 2) to identify the causes and prevention methods according to contemporary and Buddhist principles; 3) to propose a conceptual model based on the integration of Buddhist principles for preventing bullying victimization. The research utilizes qualitative method approach. The process includes examining psychological theories, Buddhist concepts, and subjective narratives, thematically analyzing, integrating the findings to develop and propose a novel model.

Research findings were shown that (1) bullying is a serious global problem affecting youth regardless of their background. The rise of cyberbullying has exacerbated the problem. The repercussions of bullying extend beyond the victims, negatively affecting bullies, families, communities, and society as a whole.  (2) Further study into its causes and prevention methods suggests that there is a strong alignment between Buddhist strategies and contemporary methods. Rooted in Buddhist principles, the research identifies twelve causal factors and proposes five preventive strategies (3) Ultimately, the study presents a three-tiered approach model to the prevention of bullying victimization: social (community support), individual (resilience building), and holistic (breaking the cycle of kamma). This comprehensive framework provides actionable measures for effective prevention and long-term solutions.
