Leadership Skills for the Administrators in the 21st Century of New Silk Road School of Fashion Design and Physical Education Haikou University of Economics

Abstract

This research aimed 1) to study the level of leadership skills for the administrators in the 21st century of New Silk Road School of Fashion Design and Physical Education, Haikou University of Economics, and 2) to compare leadership skills for the administrators in the 21st century of New Silk Road School of Fashion Design and Physical Education, Haikou University of Economics classified by personal status including gender, age, education level and work experience. The sample consisted of 32 lectures using stratified sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a validity (IOC values) between.67-1.00 and a reliability value of .98. The statistics used percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA, and LSD.


             The results of the research were as follows: 1) the level of leadership skills for the administrators in the 21st century of New Silk Road School of Fashion Design and Physical Education, Haikou University of Economics was at a high level in overall, and particular aspects, ranking from the highest to the lowest mean: collaborator skills, followed by creative skills, vision skills and communication skills properly, and 2) opinions of lecturers on leadership skills for the administrators in the 21st century of New Silk Road School of Fashion Design and Physical Education, Haikou University of Economics, classified by gender, age, education level and work experience were not different.
