Abstract
This research was a cross-sectional descriptive study. The objectives were to study the overall level of happiness and the level of happiness classified by year of study among students at the College of Muay Thai Study and Thai Traditional Medicine, Muban Chombueng Rajabhat University. The population consisted of full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the 2025 academic year. The sample comprised 160 students obtained through simple random sampling using the lottery method. The research instrument was a two-part questionnaire, consisting of a general information questionnaire and a 9-dimension happiness questionnaire. The instrument's content validity was verified by experts, with an Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) ranging between 0.67 and 1.00, and the overall Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient was 0.94. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research findings revealed that: 1) the sample had an overall mean score of happiness at a moderate level ( = 3.54, S.D. = 0.43). When considering each dimension, it was found that the dimensions with mean scores at a high level were Happy Heart (
= 3.82, S.D. = 0.61), Happy Family (
= 3.81, S.D. = 0.88), Happy Soul (
= 3.68, S.D. = 0.69), and Happy Brain (
= 3.68, S.D. = 0.60), respectively. 2) When classified by year of study, it was found that second-year students had the highest level of happiness (
= 3.69, S.D. = 0.44), while third-year students had the lowest level of happiness (
= 3.35, S.D. = 0.51). Meanwhile, the happiness of first-year students (
= 3.54, S.D. = 0.43) and fourth-year students (
= 3.49, S.D. = 0.35) was at a moderate level. However, the health, environment, and financial health dimensions had the lowest mean scores across several years of study. This reflects that the institution should integrate structural policies to promote physical health and nutrition, develop a learning environment that encourages social participation, and provide financial support to enhance the happiness of students
