Abstract

This study aimed to: 1) examine the levels of self-efficacy, achievement motivation, learning goal setting, self-esteem, and self-regulated learning in online learning among undergraduate students at Burapha University, and 2) investigate the influence of self-efficacy, achievement motivation, learning goal setting, and self-esteem on self-regulated learning in online learning among undergraduate students at Burapha University. The sample consisted of 378 undergraduate students at Burapha University, selected using proportional quota sampling by faculty, and data were collected through an online questionnaire. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. The results revealed that all variables were at a high level, with mean scores ranging from 3.60 to 4.13. Furthermore, achievement motivation, learning goal setting, and self-esteem significantly predicted self-regulated learning in online learning at the .05 level, with achievement motivation being the strongest predictor. In contrast, self-efficacy did not significantly predict self-regulated learning when analyzed together with the other variables in the model, possibly because its predictive effect was reduced by achievement motivation and learning goal setting, which demonstrated stronger predictive power. Together, these three variables explained 63.00% of the variance in self-regulated learning (R² = 0.63).
