DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES FOR STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF ACADEMIC AFFAIRS IN SCHOOLS UNDER THE BUENG KAN PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE

Abstract
The objectives of this research were: 1) to study guidelines for developing strategic management of academic operations, and 2) to evaluate these development guidelines for schools under the Bueng Kan Primary Educational Service Area Office. Utilizing a mixed-methods research design, the quantitative data were collected from a sample of 317 participants acquired through stratified random sampling, using a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. Concurrently, qualitative data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with 5 purposively selected experts. Qualitative data were analyzed using thematic and content analysis based on the conceptual framework. Subsequently, the proposed guidelines were evaluated by another group of 5 purposively selected experts, and the data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to assess their consensus across five dimensions. The research findings revealed that Regarding the first objective, the assessment of guidelines for developing strategic management of academic operations, ranked by priority needs from highest to lowest, included: Strategic Control and Evaluation, Strategic Planning, Strategy Implementation, and Strategic Analysis, respectively. Regarding the second objective, the overall evaluation of the guidelines for developing strategic management of academic operations was at the highest level. This was attributed to the fact that the guidelines incorporated constructive feedback from experts who possessed profound understanding, high expertise, and extensive experience in strategic management.
