Abstract

The purpose of this study is: 1) develop an active learning model using digital technology with a case study-based approach, and 2) study the effectiveness of the developed teaching process on students' academic achievement and creative thinking skills. The sample consisted of 60 students in Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province. The research instruments included a multiple-choice achievement test with four options and a creative thinking skills test. Expert evaluation of the teaching model found it to be highly appropriate overall (equation = 4.84), with the highest mean score for accuracy (equation = 4.93) and the lowest mean score for usefulness (equation = 4.71). The study of the teaching model's effectiveness found that... Students' average post-test scores (equation = 18.75, SD = 1.76) were significantly higher than their pre-test scores (equation = 12.58, SD = 2.08) at the .05 significance level (t = 21.45, p < .05), representing an average increase of 49.0%. Furthermore, teachers expressed the highest level of satisfaction with the teaching model, with the aspect promoting elaborative thinking having the highest mean score (equation = 4.40) and the aspect promoting fluency having the lowest (equation = 4.33). The research indicates that the application of digital technology combined with case studies as a teaching framework effectively enhances students' motivation and interest in learning, promotes deep learning, and develops analytical and creative thinking skills. This teaching model should be further tested in other contexts and subjects to confirm its effectiveness for wider application.
