Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aimed to: 1) investigate the creative leadership of school administrators; 2) examine schools as innovative organizations; 3) investigate the relationship between creative leadership and schools as innovative organizations; and 4) predict schools as innovative organizations based on the components of creative leadership. This study employed a correlational quantitative research design. The sample consisted of 103 schools selected through proportional stratified random sampling based on school size, followed by simple random sampling using the lottery method. Two informants were selected from each school: a school administrator and a head of academic affairs. Completed questionnaires were received from 95 schools, representing a response rate of 92.23%. The research instrument was a five-point rating scale questionnaire with an Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) ranging from 0.80 to 1.00 and an overall reliability coefficient of .916. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient, and Enter multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that: 1) the creative leadership of school administrators was at a good level overall, with teamwork having the highest mean; 2) schools as innovative organizations were at a good level overall, with appropriate organizational structure having the highest mean; 3) creative leadership had a high positive relationship with schools as innovative organizations, which was statistically significant (r = .782, p < .001); and 4) the five components of creative leadership jointly and significantly predicted schools as innovative organizations, accounting for 61.10% of the variance (R² = .611, adjusted R² = .590). Four components were significant predictors: flexibility and adaptation, creative thinking, teamwork, and vision. The standardized-score prediction equation was Z'y = .168Z1 + .265Z2 + .139Z3 + .312Z4 + .204Z5
