KHAOYAI GOAT: GUIDELINES FOR PROMOTING GOAT RAISING IN THE COMMUNITY: A CASE STUDY GOAT FARMER RAISING KHAO-NOY SUB-DISTRICT, SICHON DISTRICT, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE

Abstract

               The objectives of this research article were to study Goat Raising in the community, The problem of Goat Raising and Guidelines for promoting Goat Raising in the community: A Case Study Goat farmer Raising Khao-noy Sub-district, Sichon District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province Thailand. This research had used the qualitative research method. The research results found that 1) Goat Raising in the community There are methods as follows: 1.1) Preparing the house Choose an open location Choose a pole made of cement. Use artificial wood to make a stable. The stall must be raised above the ground. For easy sweeping of goat droppings and make a yard under the pen to collect goat droppings. 1.2) Selection of breeds. The breeder is Boer. And the mother Boer will focus on the blood 50 Sanen, should choose a breed that is a 3 bloodline because it will be highly resistant to disease. 1.3) Care and feeding, feeding in the morning around 10 o'clock and changing the water around noon. In the evening, put the hay. And change the water to eat mixed food, Soybean meal, and fresh grass. 1.4) Treatment of disease, using antibiotics, using Amoxicillin injected under the skin. To sterilize. 1.5) catch and sell goat before sale After the sale of goats, only grass and a little water will be refrained from food have to clean the stall and put grass on the small ones that are left to eat normally. 2) The problem of Goat Raising in the community. The problems are as follows: 2.1) Goat farming model., 2.2) Goat feed problem, 2.3) Goat disease problem 2.4) Investment problem, 2.5) Animal breed problem, and 2.6) Environmental problem. 3) Guidelines for promoting Goat Raising in the community. There are promotion guidelines as follows: 3.1) Career promotion guidelines 3.2) Knowledge of Methods of nurturing and epidemics 3.3) food management and medicines 3.4) investment promotion guidelines 5) breed development promotion guidelines, and                                6) environmental promotion guidelines.
