GROUP MANAGEMENT UNDER THE PHILOSOPHY OF SUFFICIENCY ECONOMY OF TAMARIND WOOD CUTTING BOARD OCCUPATION GROUP IN BAN CHANG HUN COMMUNITY, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this study aimed to study: 1) The development for the formation of the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group of Ban Chang Hun Community in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province; 2) Problematic conditions of the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group of Ban Chang Hun Community in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province; 3) Group management under the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy of the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group of Ban Chang Hun Community in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. This study was qualitative research that utilized in-depth interviews. Key informants were selected using purposive sampling. They consisted of seven persons. Key informants were classified into two groups: The group of primary key informants had a total of three persons, and the group of secondary key informants had a total of four persons. The data was analyzed using documentary analysis. The results of the research found that: 1) The development for the formation of the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group found that there were four steps: 1.1) The formation stage of the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group; 1.2) The integration process of the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group; 1.3) The product production stage within the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group; and 1.4) The management process of the Tamarind Dan Qiang Occupational Group. 2) Problematic conditions of the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group were as follows: 2.1) Problems in terms of production of Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group; 2.2) Problems with packaging in the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group; 2.3) Problems in the aspect of marketing within the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group; and 2.4) Problems in the aspect of management of the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group. 3) Group management under the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy was found as follows: 3.1) Modesty of the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group; 3.2) Reasonableness of the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group; 3.3) Self-immunity of the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group; and 3.4) Knowledgeableness of the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group; 3.5) Morality of the Tamarind Wood Cutting Board Occupation Group.
