EXPECTATIONS OF THE PEOPLE IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF LOCAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATIONS PHROMBURI DISTRICT SING BURI PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the level of expectations of the people in the administration of local administrative organizations phromburi district Sing buri province, and 2) compare the level of public expectations of the people in the administration of local administrative organizations phromburi district Sing buri province, classified by personal characteristics.The research was designed as a quantitative study. The population used in this study consisted of 16,473 people living in Phromburi District. The sample group included 391 people, calculated using Taro Yamane's formula through proportional sampling and selected using the simple random sampling method. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and hypothesis testing using F-test and t-test. The results of the research revealed that 1) people’s expectations, both overall and in each aspect, were at a high level. In terms of quality of life, the public expected the maintenance of peace and order and the safety of life and property. In terms of infrastructure, they expected the development and improvement of roads and water supply systems. In terms of economics, society, and politics, they expected the maximized use of community resources. In terms of natural resource and environmental conservation, they expected the conservation and restoration of natural resources. 2) When comparing the level of people’s expectation in administration, it was found that people of different genders had similar expectations. There were no significant differences in expectations based on age, education level, marital status, occupation, or average monthly income
