AN APPLICATION OF THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS FOR THE FAMILY DEVELOPMENT OF THE WAT KLANGMAI COMMUNITY, MUEANG DISTRICT, SURAT THANI PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research are as follows: 1) to study the concept of family development in the Wat Klang Mai community, Mueang District, Surat Thani Province, 2) to study the Four Noble Truths as they appear in Buddhist scriptures, and 3) to apply the Four Noble Truths for the family development of the Wat Klang Mai community, Mueang District, Surat Thani Province. This is a qualitative research in which the researcher had surveyed and collected data through in-depth interviews. Data analysis and conclusion by analyzing all the data obtained. Synthesize the results and present them in the form of descriptive narratives. The results of the research were as follows: 1) Family is a group of people who live together, have a bond with each other, have love and goodwill for each other, are related by blood or law. It is a basic social institution that plays a role in refining family members through the process of learning, daily lifestyle, culture and tradition to develop for progress and further development. 2) The Four Noble Truths are Buddhist principles that are considered to be a large system that can help you understand life and cover the process of solving problems, which consists of 4 points: 1) Dukkha to identify the problem, 2) Samudaya to analyze the root cause, 3) nirodha to set goals and 4) Magga to plan solutions 3) The Four Noble Truths is a principle that helps solve family problems effectively. It can help build understanding and harmony to look at family problems systematically. Find out why with this principle, it can solve problems and develop families, create love, understanding, and make problems clearly visible. Understand the causes and work together to solve them in a constructive way, with the goal of restoring peace and good relationships in the family and living together in a sustainable way.
