ROLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE THAI MILITARY IN CREATING NATIONAL SECURITY OF ARMED FORCES DEVELOPMENT COMMAND

Abstract

The objectives of this research article are : 1) Study the role of the Thai Armed Forces in supporting the national security work of the Armed Forces Development Command 2) Analyze the principles for developing the role of the Royal Thai Armed Forces to support the national security work of the Armed Forces Development Command 3) Presenting guidelines for developing the role of the Royal Thai Armed Forces to support the national security work of the Armed Forces Development Command. Qualitative research methods There were 25 important interview informants or people. Data were collected using interviews. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis. Data were analyzed by descriptive content analysis The research results found that 1) The role of the Royal Thai Armed Forces in supporting the national security work of the Armed Forces Development Command Raise the level of infrastructure by improving gravel roads into paved roads and creating water sources for agriculture to facilitate transportation and support agricultural production. In addition, we also promote the integration of farmers through large-scale farming. and support processing agricultural products to add value and generate income for the community, including raising hybrid beef cattle to create food security and increase income for farmers 2) The principle of Aparihaniyadhamma to develop the role of the Royal Thai Army in supporting national security of the army development command has been implemented. Community meetings have been held to foster cooperation among military units, citizens, and community leaders through listening to opinions and forming joint resolutions, resulting in good understanding and trust, leading to coordination for community development and local security. 3) The guidelines for developing the role of the Royal Thai Army in supporting national security of the army development command have been implemented using the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy as a core framework, aiming to create food and occupational security appropriate to the community context through group formation, utilization of local resources, and secure self-reliance, resulting in strong communities, reduced vulnerability, and self-sufficiency.
