A policy on the creative use of AI for article writers.
The Sripatum Law Journal recognizes the development of AI technology that can support the creation of academic writing. To ensure transparency, accuracy, and adherence to academic principles in the use of AI, the following policies have been established for authors:
1. Disclosure of AI Use: Authors must inform the editor if they use AI tools to assist in writing or preparing the content of their article, whether it be drafting, translation, or creating academic illustrations. The form and role of the AI must be clearly specified. Authors must highlight in blue text which parts of the content were assisted or prepared using AI. (Note: The use of AI to assist in writing or preparing content must not exceed 20% of the article.)
2. Academic Quality Control: Content created or assisted by AI must be reviewed and edited by the author to ensure the information is academically accurate and meets the journal's standards of credibility.
3. Copyright Infringement Prevention: Authors are responsible for the use of AI-generated content. The use of information or media that infringes on the copyright or rights of third parties is prohibited. If using AI-generated content or images, ensure that they are suitable for public use.
4. Credit and Citation: In cases where AI is used to create content, information, or illustrative media, author credit and citation must be given. Proper attribution of sources is crucial, such as specifying the name and model of the AI tool used, for transparency and fairness to readers.
5. Promoting author creativity: While authors may use AI as a tool to assist in analysis, structuring, or idea generation, AI is not permitted to write the entire article on behalf of the author. Authors must play a significant role in summarizing, analyzing, and presenting the academic content themselves.
