This article aims to present a STEAM-based project-based learning (PBL) approach designed to enhance student competencies in the 21st century. Driven by the decline in Thai students' PISA scores in Science and Mathematics, alongside the growing demand for a workforce with high-order thinking skills, this paper proposes the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through a project-based framework. Central to this approach is the use of the Engineering Design Process (EDP), which serves as a key mechanism enabling students to engage in authentic problem-solving. This methodology aligns with neuroeducational principles—where the brain constructs meaning through experience—and social constructivism, which emphasizes learning through social interaction. The author proposes a 6-step STEAM-based project-based learning model as follows: 1. Identify 2. Explore 3. Plan and Develop 4. Implementation 5. Test and Evaluate and 6. Present
