Abstract

Soft skills are essential skills for coexistence in society. It is about behavior that is expressed through words, facial expressions, and gestures. Most children learn through observation and interaction with others. This article aims to develop soft skills for elementary school students because it is the age when they start to learn things from their environment outside the home to acquire knowledge and try to do things to succeed.

From the study, it was found that the soft skills development guidelines for elementary school students are necessary to understand the context and apply them to the situation. Give students opportunities to become active creators, and learn how to collaborate with others. There will be an understanding of the nature of differences between individuals. These skills are essential for living in today's world. It is like preparing to enter adulthood. If developed seriously, children can grow up to be effective adults and can be strong citizens of the country.

From this article, it can be used to benefit learning management that allows learners to interact with others to achieve collaboration until they become a new form of knowledge beyond what is in the textbook and are able to live happily in society.
