Journal Status and Publication Information

The Buddhist ASEAN Studies Journal (ISSN 2822-0935, Online) has been evaluated and accredited by the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) and is classified as a Tier 2 journal, recognized for meeting the quality standards of the TCI (valid until 31 December 2029).

The journal promotes the dissemination of scholarly articles in the field of ASEAN Studies in both Thai and English. It is published biannually, as follows:

  • Issue 1: January – June
  • Issue 2: July – December

This publication schedule has been in effect since January 2025 onward.

Withdrawal and Postponement of Publication

As all manuscripts must undergo the copyediting and production processes prior to publication, the journal reserves the right to withhold or postpone certain articles indefinitely under the following circumstances:

  1. The author cannot be contacted.
  2. The author fails to revise the manuscript in accordance with the journal’s recommendations.
  3. The author does not provide proof of payment for the article processing fee.
  4. The English abstract is found to be inaccurate or inadequate; in such cases, the journal may assign a qualified English-language expert to revise or retranslate the abstract, and the author will be responsible for the associated costs.

In this regard, authors are responsible for actively monitoring, following up, and inquiring about the progress of their manuscripts on a regular basis.
