Withdrawal and Postponement of Publication

Due to the requirement that all manuscripts must undergo the copyediting and production processes prior to publication, the journal reserves the right to withhold or postpone the publication of certain articles indefinitely for the following reasons:

  1. The author cannot be contacted.
  2. The author fails to revise the manuscript in accordance with the journal’s recommendations.
  3. The author does not provide proof of payment for the article processing fee.
  4. The English abstract is found to be inadequate or incorrect; in such cases, the journal may assign a qualified English-language expert to revise or retranslate the abstract, and the author will be responsible for the associated costs.

In this regard, it is the responsibility of the author to actively monitor, follow up, and inquire about the progress of their manuscript on a regular basis.

Guidelines for Authors (Revised Edition, B.E. 2564 / 2021)

The Buddhist ASEAN Studies Journal has updated its citation format to enhance the quality and standardization of published articles. The editorial board has revised the regulations, procedures, and requirements concerning manuscript preparation and referencing to ensure greater clarity and comprehensiveness. Clear examples and user-friendly explanations are provided, based on the APA 6th edition referencing style.

In addition, the journal has revised the author guidelines and manuscript format, including requirements such as an abstract not exceeding 500 words and a maximum length of 15 pages. The journal publishes six issues per year to better accommodate research projects with multiple objectives. These revised guidelines have been in effect since Volume 12, Issue 1 (January–February 2024) onward.

    4. The English abstract is found to be inaccurate or inadequate; in such cases, the journal may assign a qualified English-language expert to revise or retranslate the abstract, and the author will be responsible for the associated costs.
