Abstract

This research is entitled ‘A Study of English Final Consonant Sound Spoken by First Year Students at Faculty of Education in Mahachulalornkornrajavidyalaya University’. It is a qualitative and quantitative research with the objectives to study the problems of English final consonant sounds, and to solve the problems of English final consonant sounds of first-year students at Faculty of Education, Mahachulalongkornrajavidhayalaya University. The research methods and sample group consist of the first-year students with a number of 60 persons, including an additional in-depth interview with 5 lecturers and scholars who are living in Mahachulalornkornrajavidyalaya University. For data collection, questionnaire and in-depth interview had been used, and it was used by SPSS Statistics software, for analyzing the data.

The result of the research was that most of the students are female it is equal to 66.7 percent; aged between 21-23, equal to 63.3 percent; Myanmar students, equal to 81.7 percent; intermediate English level, equal to 93.3 percent; My own decision, equal to 86.7 percent.
