COMMUNITY PARTICIPATORY MANAGEMENT IN THE MANAGEMENT OF LEARNING RESOURCES OF SCHOOLS IN EDUCATIONAL SANDBOX

Abstract

This research aimed to study the conditions and approaches to community participatory management in managing learning resources in schools in educational innovation areas. This mixed-method research was conducted. 1) The sample consisted of school administrators, teachers, and school basic education committee chairs. The sample size was determined according to the Krejci and Morgan table, resulting in a stratified random sampling of 432 participants. 2) The informants consisted of five experts, selected by purposive sampling. The tools used were questionnaires and interviews. The statistics used for data analysis included means, standard deviations, and content analysis. The results revealed that 1) the overall condition of community participatory management in managing learning resources in schools in educational innovation areas was at a high level. 2) The approaches to community participatory management in managing learning resources in schools in educational innovation areas consisted of five main dimensions: 1) collaborative decision-making, setting directions, and solving problems in the operation of the educational institution; 2) collaborative planning, participating in strategic planning, defining details or methods of operation, and implementing problem-solving to monitor performance and develop the organization's operational plan; 3) collaborative operation, participating in and implementing various organizational projects/activities according to the plan and improving the work process; and 4) evaluation, monitoring progress and evaluating performance. To jointly improve and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of various work systems and 5) to share the benefits, apply knowledge and skills to create good work in order to create good relationships with the organization.
