EFFECTIVENESS OF UTILIZING TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION IN THE OPERATIONS OF GENERAL INSURANCE FUND PERSONNEL

The research of this independent study was to investigate: 1) the effectiveness of the use of information technology in the operations of general insurance fund personnel, 2) the factors influencing the effectiveness of utilizing information technology in personnel operations, and 3) the guidelines for enhancing the effectiveness of the use of information technology in personnel operations. The study population comprised 75 general insurance fund personnel, with 12 key informants. Data collection was conducted using a structured interview form, and data analysis included descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research results found that factors influencing the utilization of technology and information of general insurance fund personnel, when considering each aspect, showed high levels of knowledge, skills, and abilities, the effectiveness of utilizing information technology in personnel operations, when considering each aspect, showed the highest level in workload, while job quality, time, and expenses were also found at a high level, and the guidelines for enhancing the effectiveness of utilizing information technology in personnel operations were to provide training courses to enhance technological and informational capabilities. The training should include using office programs and organizational systems, skills in utilizing resources and organizational system programs to guide towards the same direction, organizations should facilitate training programs and knowledge exchange to enhance personnel capabilities and foster efficient work practices. Such initiatives should focus on exchanging ideas and expertise among departments and sharing experiences in using office programs, particularly Microsoft Excel and organizational system programs.
