Effect of Stress on Quality of Life of Generation Y’s Company Employees in Bangkok and Metropolitan Areas

The purpose of this study were to determine level of stress and quality of life of Generation Y people who work with private companies in Bangkok and its vicinity. The population in the study was Generation Y, aged 22 – 42 years in Bangkok Metropolitan Region. The sample at the amount of 385 selected. The questionnaire survey was applied as a research instrument. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The inferential statistics regression analysis was applied for the hypothesis testing at a statistical significance level of 0.05
The results showed that the stress levels of Generation Y people who work with private companies in Bangkok and its vicinity was at moderate and the level of quality of life was at a high level. The level of stress affects quality of life in terms of emotional and mind, quality of life in terms of relation and social participation, quality of life in terms of education and self-development and quality of life in terms of economy and environment. This research could be a guideline for managing stress in one's work and daily life. Additionally, private companies could applied for develop human resource management systems in order to create a happiness at work. Therefore; work efficiency could be increase, so that an organization could achieved its setting goal.
