A New Normal Way of Life : The Natural Rejuvenation in Jewelry Design

Abstract

This article gathers the concepts and expressions of lifestyle through photographs and designs inspired by living during the COVID-19 pandemic that took place around the world during 2020 A.D. It has had a big impact on people until now. Lifestyle modifications to prevent the spread of disease and ensure safety raises the question of living in a new normal, which reflect the perception of the value and meaning of objects and place that have changed.

The designs and concepts exemplified in this paper communicate the critical issues of human and modern society in various aspects which have been accelerating to normalization over the years. The design pays a respect for nature and an acceptance of imperfections. On the contrary, even with in the lockdown, human consumption was not decreased. The management of household waste is increasing, especially plastic waste, which affects the environment.

As we refrain from traveling which is contrary to human social animal behavior, travel can be fulfilled by digital technology that humans tastefully design virtual travel trips. Today's post-pandemic living with creative distancing encourages us to respect our personal space more than ever. Humans design how to live with others in order to enter the new normal world normally.
