Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the level of people's participation in local development: a case study of Sa Khu Subdistrict Administrative Organization. 2) To compare people's participation in local development: a case study of Sa Khu Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Suwannaphum Roi Et Province with different gender, age, education level, income, occupation and position in the community and 3) to study the recommendations for people's participation in local development: a case study of the Sa Khu Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Suwannaphum. Roi Et Province the population and the sample group consisted of people aged 18 years and over and who were domiciled in Sa Khu Subdistrict, Suwannaphum, Roi Et Province 384 people. The research tool was a questionnaire data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, and one-way anova. The results of the research revealed that people's opinions towards people's participation in local development: a case study of Sa Khu Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Suwannaphum, Roi Et Province Overall, it is at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that it was at a high level in every aspect. and the results of the comparison of public participation classified by sex, age, educational level monthly income, occupation and position in different communities found that there was no difference in overall and in every aspect either therefore rejecting the hypothesis. Suggestions are as follows: 1) should create a website about financial regulations, budgets, accounts, supplies, and guidelines to educate; understanding and working in the same way. 2) There should be coordination with external agencies. to request support for project budgets that exceed the potential of the Subdistrict Administrative Organization.3) The development plan of the Sub-district Administrative Organization should be reviewed periodically with the participation of representatives of the people's sector in expressing opinions.
