Abstract

          The objectives of this research were to 1) to explore the condition of the problem of strategic planning in educational institutions under Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 1; and 2) compare opinions on strategic planning in educational institutions under Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 classified by gender, position, work experience, and school size. This research is based on a survey. The sample group for this study included 294 administrators and instructors from the Office of Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, including 47 from small educational institutions, 168 from medium-sized educational institutions, and 79 from large - extra-large educational institutions. The questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument. Statistics for independent simple t-test and t-test data analysis, including mean and standard deviation.

          The results of the study found that: 1) Development of Educational Institutions' Strategic Planning in Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, overall and in each aspect, at the highest level when considering each element, in order of operation from high to low averages. Strategic Implementation Control is followed by strategic leadership, and Organizational Direction. Strategic Formulation is the least developed field.  2) The comparison of the development of strategic planning for educational institutions under Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 grouped by school size revealed that small schools had distinct practices in general and in each aspect. In every way, it is more practical than the major colleges. 3) The results of a comparison of strategic planning development for educational institutions within Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 classified by administrators and teachers with different levels of experience. There are several perspectives on educational institution development, and smaller schools are more practical in all respects than larger schools.
