THE DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHERS’ INNOVATIVE CHARACTERISTICS IN SCHOOLS UNDER SISAKET PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 4

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the innovative characteristics of teachers in educational institutions under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area, Sisaket Area 4, and 2) to study the development of innovative characteristics of teachers in educational institutions leading to teaching innovations that can solve immediate problems of small schools under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area, Sisaket Area 4. The sample consisted of 322 teachers under the organization, selected by stratified random sampling according to the proportion of school size. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability value of 0.97. The statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

The research results found that 1) the results of the study of innovative characteristics of teachers in educational institutions of the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area, Sisaket Area 4 found that overall, it was at                                a high level (Xˉ=4.30, S.D.=.45). When considering each aspect, it was found that determination to success had the highest mean at the very level (Xˉ=4.55). In contrast, acceptance of change had the lowest mean at the very level (Xˉ=4.16). 2) the results of the study of the development of innovative characteristics of teachers in educational institutions leading to teaching innovations that can solve immediate problems of small schools, Office of the Primary Educational Service Area, Sisaket Area 4, found that there were 6 aspects including 1) courage, 2) tolerance for ambiguity, 3) determination to success, 4) self-awareness, 5) acceptance of change, and 6) interest in problem solving.
