Abstract

This academic article aims to synthesize concepts and frameworks of strategic risk management in Thai private schools to enhance educational sustainability, social, and policy complexities. The study integrates the conceptual frameworks of COSO Enterprise Risk Management (2017) and ISO 31000:2018 with the principles of sustainable educational management, emphasizing the role of school administrators as strategic leaders capable of anticipating, analyzing, and managing risks across five key dimensions—demographic, financial, academic, personnel, and policy. The findings reveal that effective risk management serves as a foundation for creating a resilient educational management system that enhances student outcomes, budget efficiency, personnel development, and cross-sector collaboration, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals). In conclusion, risk management in private schools is not merely a preventive mechanism but a driving force for sustainability, enabling Thai private schools to survive, compete, and thrive with stability in the 21st century
