Abstract

This study aimed to: 1) examine the conditions of school administration in the digital era; 2) investigate the level of digital skills of teachers in Special Education Centers under the Network for Enhancing Educational Management Efficiency; 3) analyze the relationship between school administration in the digital era; and 4) examine school administration in the digital era of Special Education Centers affecting teachers’ digital skills. Data were collected from a sample of 176 teachers from Special Education Centers under the Network for Enhancing Educational Management Efficiency, Special Education Center Educational Region 3, under the Bureau of Special Education Administration. The sample was obtained through stratified random sampling by institution. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of .990. The statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.

The results revealed that: 1) the overall level of school administration in the digital era was at the highest level (  = 4.55, S.D. = 0.40); 2) the overall and individual aspects of teachers’ digital skills were at the highest level (  = 4.58, S.D. = 0.41); 3) all aspects of school administration in the digital era had a positive relationship with teachers’ digital skills at the .01 level of statistical significance; and 4) digital-era personnel administration and digital-era academic administration were significant predictors of teachers’ digital skills at the .01 level of statistical significance. Digital-era personnel administration had the greatest influence on teachers’ digital skills, followed by digital-era academic administration. These two variables together explained 64.70 percent of the variance in teachers’ digital skills.
