THE DEVELOPMENT OF CREATIVE WRITING ABILITY AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS BY USING CREATIVITY-BASED LEARNING WITH SKILL EXERCISES FOR MATTHAYOM 5

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to develop a lesson plan on creative writing and communication skills by using creativity-based learning with skill exercises for Matthayom 5 2) to compare creative writing abilities before and after learning by using creativity-based learning with skill exercises for Matthayom 5  and 3) to compare communication skills before and after learning by using creativity-based learning with skill exercises for Matthayom 5. The sample group consisted of 26 Matthayom 5/3 students from Pikrai Wittaya School in the 2025 academic year. Which was selected using cluster sampling. The research instruments included 1) lesson plans, 2) the creative writing and communication skills exercises, and 3) a test measuring creative writing ability and communication skills. Statistics that used for data analysis included mean, standard deviation and t-test.

          The research results revealed that 1) the development of the lesson plan on creative writing and communication skills using creativity-based learning with skill exercises was rated as highly appropriate (  = 4.74, S.D. = 0.11) 2) creative writing ability after the intervention was significantly higher than before at the .05 level. and 3) communication skills after the intervention was significantly higher than before at the .05 level.
