A STUDY OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS’ ROLES IN PROMOTING TEACHERS’ ETHICS UNDER THE LOCAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION IN UBON RATCHATHANI

This research aimed to 1) study of school administrators’ roles in promoting teachers’ ethics, and 2) study on the development of school administrators’ roles in promoting teachers’ ethics under the local administrative organization in Ubon Ratchathani. This research was quantitative research. The samples were obtained through Krejcie and Morgan’s sample size determination table and consisted of 291 of school administrators and teachers in early childhood development centers. The researcher used questionnaire research instruments, the Index of Item - Objective Congruence index of 1.00, the corrected item - total correlations range between 0.28 - 0.87. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.97. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.
The results of the research found 1) the school administrators’ roles of early childhood development centers under local administrative organizations in Muang Sam Sip District and Mueang Ubon Ratchathani district, Ubon Ratchathani province was overall at a high level ( = 4.25), 2) recommendations for developing the roles of school administrators’ roles of early childhood development centers in promoting teachers’ professional ethics include strengthening ethical leadership to serve as good role models for teachers; promoting and providing guidance for teachers’ self-development and professional development; supporting budgets and opportunities to attend training, seminars, and study visits; organizing activities to enhance team relationships and collaboration with the community; implementing recognition programs to honor teachers with outstanding ethics; and listening to feedback from parents to improve the quality of teachers’ professional ethics in educational institutions.
