This research aimed to: (1) examine the level of effective internal quality assurance (IQA) in schools under Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 1 (Cluster 6), and (2) propose development guidelines for effective internal quality assurance in these schools. The sample consisted of 254 administrators and teachers, determined using the Krejcie and Morgan (1970) table and selected through simple random sampling using the lottery method. The research instruments included a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and a semi-structured interview. Quantitative data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, while qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis. The findings revealed that the overall level of internal quality assurance was at a high level (M = 4.47, S.D. = 0.60). The aspect with the highest mean score was policy formulation, standards, and quality assurance goals, whereas the lowest was the implementation of quality assurance plans. The proposed development guidelines included: (1) systematic and participatory policy communication, (2) development of internal communication systems, (3) continuous implementation based on the PDCA cycle, (4) systematic monitoring and reporting mechanisms, and (5) the application of technology and best practices for quality improvement.
