Development and Promotion of Community Enterprise Potential tothe Creative Economy in Accordance with Sufficiency EconomyPhilosophy in KamphaengPhet, Phichit, and Sukhothai

Abstract

This research used qualitative research methodology. The target groups were: 1) 45 community enterprise members and 2) community leaders, representatives from government agencies, representatives from local administrative organizations, and 4 business experts. The data collection methods were semi-structured interviews, group discussion with brainstorming techniques together with analyzing and synthesizing information based on the content. The findings were: 1. The operation of community enterprises towards the creative economy in accordance with Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in KamphaengPhet, Phichit, and Sukhothai Provinces was found that most of the members involving agriculture, followed by those working in the community enterprises. This happened because of unofficial gatherings by community leaders and members for both co-production and single production by focusing on community markets and outside markets. The concept and operation were run by raising funds from community members and financial institutions. The organization was structured according to the lines of authority. In addition, product packaging was designed simply and expressed the community symbol-oriented designs. 2. Potential of community enterprises in creative economy according to Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in KamphaengPhet, Phichit, and Sukhothai Provinces showed the strengths of product-based materials gained from local raw materials and local wisdom, voluntary cooperation, fair and reasonable pricing, and social capital that could lead to creative economy. 3. The development and promotion of community enterprise potential to the creative economy in accordance with Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in Kamphaengphet, Phichit, and Sukhothai Provinces were organized by production management, packaging designs, financial management, marketing, and knowledge management.
