Abstract

People usually thought that it was difficult to learn a new language because they found many problems such as inaudibleness, indistinct vocalizations, etc. If the learners had some linguistic background, they could learn any languages easily. This article aimed to present the knowledge about language system as a guideline used for learning foreign languages quickly. The study found that we should be aware that each language had a different system, divided into 3 aspects. Firstly, Phonetics must be understood that the number of sounds appearing in each language was unequal. There were the same and different sounds so the alveolar ridges were different as well. Secondly, grammar - the word building and the sentence composition of each language was not the same. Lastly, writing system - the letters representing the sounds of each language had their origins and characteristics. Therefore, learning foreign languages, any language system could not be compared in these three aspects and this understanding would help the learner be ready to study a foreign language easily without judging any languages more difficult or easier.
