Abstract

The purposes of this independent study were: 1) to study participatory management, Office of the Private Education Commission, Saphan Sung District, Bangkok. 2) to find out the kindergarten teacher functional competency and 3) to examine the relationship between participatory management and kindergarten teacher functional competency. The population of this research was kindergarten teacher 151 persons in Office of the Private Education Commission, Saphan Sung District, Bangkok. The tool used to collect data was rating scale questionnaire with Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) between 0.67 – 1.00 with the reliability of .991. Data were analyzed with statistical software to calculate frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s Correlation.

          The research results were found that: 1) the participatory management was at high level in overall and in each aspect (µ= 4.50) 2) the kindergarten teacher functional competency was the most level in overall and in each aspect (µ= 4.68) and 3) there was positively average correlation between participatory management and kindergarten teacher functional competency with the statistically significant level at .01, and coefficient of correlation at .596 (r = .596)
