Students' Satisfaction in Using the Dormitory Service of Mahamakut Buddhist University, Nakhon Pathom Province

This research aims 1) to study the university students’ satisfaction 2) to compare the university students’ satisfaction 3) to study the model for the development of dormitory services. This is mixed research; that is, in term of quantitative research, the questionnaire was distributed to the year-one to year-four undergraduate students staying at the university dormitory for the first semester, academic year 2021. The Yamane’s formula was used to analyze the data by frequency distribution, percentage statistics, mean, and standard deviation whereas t-test and One-Way ANOVA was used to test the hypotheses as well as Scheffe' method was used to test the differences between pairs. In term of qualitative research, the in-depth interview was used with nine participants, the data was analyzed with contextual content analysis techniques
The results revealed that;
1) The students’ overall satisfaction towards the dormitory services was in the moderate level. When considering each aspect, it was found that all aspects had a moderate level of satisfaction.
2) In summary of the comparison of the students’ satisfaction towards the dormitory services classified by gender, status, year level, faculty, dormitory and participation in the dormitory activities, it was found that the students’ year level was statistically and significantly different at .05 when considering the general information. Unlike, the students’ general information namely gender, status, faculty, dormitory and participation in the dormitory activities was not statistically and significantly different at .05
