Relations between Thailand and Russia: Effects of the Russia-Ukraine War towards Thailand

Abstract

      This article. The author's objective is to study international relations. The goal is to study only the relationship between Thailand and Russia from the beginning of the past to the present. It could be counted that over 100 years ago, Thailand and Russia had a good relationship with each other, whether during the reign of King Rama 5, or congratulations on the beneficial relationship of Ambassador Olarovski to Thailand. Although in each period there may be some relations that go bankrupt, but the relationship is always good until the end of the reign of King Rama 9. Even after his death, the relationship between Thailand and Russia is still good. Although the current situation of the war between Russia - Ukraine It will intensify until it affects the world and directly affects some parts of Thailand as well. As such, the direction of Thai-Russian relations in the future depends on whether the war will quickly end or escalate into a new world war. What Thailand will be like in the future depends on the leader. In which the direction of the war would definitely not have a conclusion soon. therefore, Thailand should remain neutral on the side of justice and not be biased to either side as the most important thing.
