POLITICAL PARTICIPATION OF STUDENT’S MAHAMAKUT BUDDHIST UNIVERSITY

The objectives of this research study were: 1) to study the level of political participation of students, 2) to compare personal factors with political participation of students and 3) to present guidelines for political participation of students. This research used a research methodology with a combination of methods by quantitative research, the sample consisted of 180 students of year class 1-4 of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Analyze the data by means, Standard Deviation, t-test, F-testor One- ANOVA, if the differences were found, tested individually by the Scheffé method. In-depth interviews using with 8 key informants, using content analysis techniques for context.
The research results were as follows 1) The level of political participation of the students of the Faculty of Social Sciences In overall, the sample participants were at a moderate level ( = 3.07), considering each aspect, it was found that the sample groups participated in a high level of 1 aspect, namely the election ( = 3.73) and a moderate level of 4 aspects were: opposition ( = 3.16), group activities ( = 2.97), campaigning for political parties ( = 2.91), and contact ( = 2.58), respectively. 2) The hypothesis testing comparing were statistically significant difference in age, at the 0.001 level, when testing the difference between the mean age pairs, it was found that the sample aged 21-23 had different electoral political participation than the sample aged 30 and over (Sig = 0.002) 3) Guidelines for the development of political participation among students consist of: Approaches to developing political participation of students in the Faculty of Social Sciences should provide education of students in terms of acknowledging the information of students Using Yonisomanasikarn problem analysis study Linking and coordinating mutual benefits between people's politics, etc., contribute strong plural political development facilitate political movements of various groups
