PARTICIPATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ELDERLY'S QUALITY OF LIFE OF BANG KHANUN SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, BANG KRUAI DISTRICT, NONTHABURI PROVINCE

The objectives of this research were: (1) to study the participation in the development of the elderly's quality of life of Bang Khanun Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi Province, and (2) to study the participation guidelines in the development of the elderly's quality of life of Bang Khanun Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi Province. The research was quantitative. The study population included men and women aged 60 years and over, who lived in Bang Khanun Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Bang Kruai District, Province, totaling 1,333 people, derived from taking the population to determine the sample size using Krejcie & Morgan tables. A sample of 285 people was obtained. The tools used for data collection were questionnaires. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The results found that: (1) the participation in the development of the elderly's quality of life in Bang Khanun Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi Province, overall, it was at a high level ( = 3.27, S.D. = 0.64), health and medical care ( = 3.52, S.D. = 0.77), followed by social security, family, caregivers and protection ( =3.51, S.D. = 0.75), and the area with the lowest mean was housing ( = 2.93, S.D. = 0.78); and (2) the guidelines for participation in the improvement of the elderly's quality of life of Bang Khanun Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi Province, was namely: 1) assistance for medical expenses 2) establishing a provident fund for the elderly and establishing a fund to promote welfare for the elderly provide services to foster families for the elderly, set up a health garden and exercise yard. There was protection and protection of the rights of the elderly and establishing a care center for the elderly and a network.
