GUIDELINES FOR IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE ELDERLY FOR A COMPLETE AGING SOCIETY OF LOCAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATIONS IN KRATHUMBAEN DISTRICT, SAMUT SAKHON PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aimed to study 1) Study the level of development of the quality of life of the elderly. 2) Study personal characteristics related to the development of the quality of life of the elderly. 3) Study the factors of welfare provision for the elderly. that affect the development of the quality of life of the elderly. 4) Study guidelines for developing the quality of life of the elderly in order to become a complete elderly society. The sample group used in the study consisted of 387 elderly people of local administrative organizations in Krathum Baen District, obtained by setting a quota size. and coincidentally and 9 key informants were obtained by specifying a specific size. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire and interview form. Analysis data by Descriptive statistics were frequency percentage, mean, standard deviation, chi-square test, multiple regression analysis and Content Analysis.

          The research results were found as follows; 1) Improving the quality of life of the elderly Overall, it is at a high level. 2) Personal characteristics, including age, are related to the quality of life development for the elderly. Statistically significant at the 0.05 level. 3) Factors in the overall welfare of the elderly in terms of medical and public health services. Participation in organizing social activities Facilitating services and providing advice, consultation, and providing living allowances There is a cause-effect relationship with improving the quality of life of the elderly. Statistically significant at the 0.001 level and 4) Guidelines for improving the quality of life of the elderly, it was found that the agency should arrange for a doctor to come and check on the health and should arrange staff to go to the area to visit the homes of the elderly continuously.
