THE PEOPLE'S DECISION TO CHOOSE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES IN PHRASAMUTCHEDI DISTRICT SAMUTPRAKAN PROVINCE

Abstract

 The objectives of this research were 1) to study level of  factors affecting the decision to choose a member of the House of Representative of people in Phra Samut Chedi district 2)  to compare  factors affecting the decision to choose a member of the House of Representative of people in Phra Samut Chedi district , Samut Prakarn  province classified by personal factors.This research was quantitative method research. The conceptual framework of this research was studied from Naphaporn Muengjong. The population of the study consisted of 150,015 people who lived in Phra Samut Chedi district , Samut Prakarn  province determined by Krejcie & Morgan. The samples were 384 people. The reliability values were .94. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire. Statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and One Way ANOVA.

The research results revealed that: 1) level of factors affecting the decision to choose a member of the House of Representative of people in Phra Samut Chedi district as a whole was at much level. When considering each aspect from the highest to the lowest average found that 5 aspects were at much level as followed education was at the highest average, followed by culture aspect,symbolic aspect , technique aspect and human relationship was at the lowest average. 2) compare factors affecting the decision to choose a member of the House of Representative of people in Phra Samut Chedi district , Samut Prakarn  province classified by personal factors found that people with genders ages, educational levels , the period of work , monthly of income and statuses  showed no difference on the decision to choose a member of the House of Representative of people in Phra Samut Chedi district , Samut Prakarn  province which was not in accordance with the assumptions set.
