GUIDLINE FOR PROMTING PUBLIC PATICUPATION IN PUBLIC POLICY PROCESS OF WANGCHAN SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGENIZATION, KAENG KRACHAN DISTRICT, PHETCHABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aimed to study 1) level of public participation. 2) personal characteristics related to public participation. 3) factors in public participation. There is a cause-effect relationship with public participation. 4) guidelines for developing public participation. The sample group used in the study consisted of 380 people residing in the Wang Chan Subdistrict Administrative Organization area, obtained by setting a quota size. and coincidentally and 8 key informants were obtained by specifying specific sizes. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire. and interview form Quantitative data analysis was performed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, chi-square, multiple regression. and qualitative data by content analysis.

          The research results were found as follows; 1) Public participation
2) Personal characteristics include gender, age, education level, occupation, status, and length of residence in the area. It is related to public participation at the level of 0.001 and monthly income at the level of 0.01. 3) Factors in public participation Cognitive aspect Community engagement aspect Leader of the Subdistrict Administrative Organization Communication and the way of life of the people There is a cause-effect relationship with public participation at the level of 0.001 and 4) Guidelines for developing public participation found that people should be encouraged to participate in monitoring and evaluation committees. Promote citizens' knowledge and understanding of the public policy process. Organize community projects to give the public an opportunity to express their opinions.
