THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENGLISH VOCABULARY LEARNING THROUGH MULTIMEDIA PICTURES FOR STUDENTS IN SCHOOLS UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF NON-FORMAL EDUCATION

The objectives of this research were 1) to develop the learning English vocabulary through multimedia pictures for non-formal education students 2) to develop multimedia pictures learning kits which developed the learning of English vocabulary for non-formal education students with an efficiency of 80/80 and 3) to study the satisfaction of non-formal education students toward the development of English vocabulary learning through multimedia pictures. It was an experimental research. The target group are Fifteen participants of non-formal education students, Phon Na Kaeo district, Sakon Nakhon province, using the purposive selection method. The tools used in this study were 1)multimedia pictures, 2)Communicative Language Teaching lesson plan (CLT), 3)pre-test – post-tests, and 5) satisfaction assessment form. Then the data was analyzed to find percentages, means, and standard deviations.
The results of the research found that : 1) students had development in learning English vocabulary through multimedia pictures was at a high level. When considered individually, it was found that student number 7 had a percentage of 95 and the student who had the least development in learning English vocabulary through multimedia pictures was student number 11 with a percentage of 62.5. 2) the efficiency of multimedia picture which developed English vocabulary learning for non-formal education students in schools has an efficiency of 61.98/82.56, which was higher than the specified criteria. And the academic achievement scores when students learned English vocabulary through multimedia pictures after studying were higher than before studying at a statistical significance of .05 and 3) students in schools under the non-formal education system were satisfied towards the overall development of English vocabulary learning through multimedia picture at the highest level.
